ABOUT PHONIC NOMADS
In 2014, drummer Archibald Ligonniere and bassist Romain Labaye reunited often to play music together. As it turns out, these three brilliant young musicians came up with music that was cool and innovative, and felt would allow them some material to perform together regularly in a couple of local venues in their hometown of Paris.
Described by their audience of devoted listeners as a clever mix of organic jazz, constructed around various grooves and pop music influences, and coupled with electronic jazz fusion elements, they've taken the time to hone their craft and find their identity.
Meanwhile, Archibald and Romain played and toured with the legendary guitar player and co-founder of the supergroup Tribal Tech, Scott Henderson. Archibald also toured with renowned bassist Richard Bona, a Cameroon native. In addition, Romain accompanied Franco-Vietnamese guitarist Nguyên Lê and French singer Michel Fugain.
Today, the three fellows united under the name « PHONIC NOMADS », took the project in a more personal direction and gathered in a recording studio to produce their original songs. Their debut album « The Nomads’ Way » features an impressive amount of prestigious guest musicians and vocalists from around the globe.
